The challenges we faced were figuring out where the mud was washing in from and stopping it quickly, because no matter the size of the pipe installed, mud will clog it over time.
To address this, our Project Manager Steve went out to meet with Ryan, and after a quick meeting, he knew exactly what it would take to fix the problem for good. Since Steve had been a foreman for the past 10 years, he knew that mud is the biggest threat to any drainage system, so he explained that we first needed to stop the mud from washing in. After that, we replaced the clogged drainage system, which had no inspection ports, with our state-of-the-art Grate Drain drainage system with inspection ports for routine maintenance. We also installed a full vapor barrier so Ryan could finish his basement in the future, along with an entryway doorway drain to capture water from leaking Bilco steps.
