The challenges we faced were working in a tight space, as the crawl space was small in height. There was also so much humidity down there that the floor joists were dripping with moisture.

To address this, after crawl space specialist Steve met with her, the solutions he provided were a full encapsulation system with a dehumidifier. We also closed up the open vents and installed a Grate Sump pump in the low spot for drainage. Before we were even done, you could see a big difference throughout the whole home as the humidity levels started to drop rapidly. Now that the crawl space is dry and free of groundwater seepage, the homeowner has gained around 2,000 square feet of dry usable space.

The homeowners decided to get a second opinion on the new water problem that occur since they had the first water issue fixed. Project manager Steve Custus came out to talk over things with the homeowners, he proposed extending the existing drainage system to make it a full perimeter system, he also recommended some outside Waterproofing along with Grate-Trench at the two entry's doorways ... Now the homeowners can finally start putting their finish basement back together.

Project Manager Steve Custus arrived at the home to inspect the foundation . Upon inspection, Steve instantly knew that this problem could be solved with our patent crack repair solution . Steve explained in great detail how this product would solve the problem. After consideration, the homeowner knew that this would be the perfect solution for her basement wall crack and decided to move forward with the project. The advantages of Techni-crack include: Cannot leak or reopen like mortar-based repairs Permanently stops water leakage through basement wall cracks Compatible with our GrateDrain perimeter drainage system This system is a permanent solution and will solve all the concerns. Unlike other “quick fixes” such as applying masonry sealant or patching the crack with mortar. These methods are not likely to fix the problem because any slight movement along the crack can break the seal.
