The challenge we faced was that the house had sagging floors and uneven support due to the original joists in the crawl space failing.

To address this, Ryan Bond recommended sistering the joists in the crawl space as an effective way to reinforce the structure, especially in this older home with a compromised support system. By addressing the damaged joists, this method can restore the structural integrity of the home without the need for extensive replacements. The challenge the crew faced was working during a heat wave, with temperatures outside topping over 100 degrees.

To address this, Lead Foreman Victory, a 10-year veteran, installed a full perimeter Grate-Drain drainage system, along with a moisture vapor barrier on the walls and a Grate-Sump pump with a battery backup for 24-hour protection in case of a power outage. Now the basement is prepped and ready for finishing.

Project manager Steve Custus with close to 13years in the Waterproofing industry was a sign to this project . After listening to the homeowner goals Steve knew exactly what would solve her Waterproofing issues once in for all ! Steve recommended the Grate-Drain Drainage system, the only closed Drainage system on the market to promote a healthy home . He also to in the consideration that the homeowner may be finishing the basement in the near future so he also recommended full vapor Barrier to protect against any wall leaks that could occur later down the line and project her finish material in the future. And last but not least the Grate Sump which will be the heart ❤️ Of the system, can pump out around 2,400 Gallons of water an hour , and with the back up inverter this basement will be protected 24/7 . Shorty after senior Crew Foremen Dwight C and crew installed this project we were hit with a series of downpours and the basement was dry as a bone . The homeowner finally found the peace and mind she's has been looking for .. This was a challenging Basement Waterproofing project because this was a split level home where half of the waterproofing drainage system will be installed inside of a crawlspace , but even though it was challenging it was something we did a number of times . We installed a Sub-drainage system with a Sump pump in the low spot that will discharge any ground water seepage away from the home and the Basement & crawlspace floor will remain dry for the life of the home ..
