Project Manager Brandon G went out to meet with the homeowners and after Brandon explain the effect that the crawlspace was having on their home and health it was very eye opening for the homeowners for instance think of your house like a chimney. Air enters at the bottom, rises through the structure, and exit through the top. It all has to do with air pressure. Air flows from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure. When there is a greater difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures, the more significant this airflow becomes. (Source: Fine Homebuilding) Others may call it the stack effect... Project Manager Steve went out on a rainy day and was able to see where the water was coming into the basement at . So he proposal a Grate-Sump with full vapor barrier because the basement walls had signs of water seepage as well . The vapor Barrier will drain any wall leaks down into the Grate Drain Drainage system that will channel the water to the Grate Sump to be removed away from the home .
