Basement Waterproofing & Foundation Repair in Parkside

We had to remove the finished material to access the foundation walls where the source of the water was.

To address this, we provided the investors with a partial system that would control any water entering the basement from the currently leaking areas. We installed a closed drainage system with an airtight Grate Sump and a vapor barrier on the walls to channel any wall leaks down into the new drainage system.

Now the property owners can refinish the basement, and the tenant will have full use of her basement. Problem solved.

The challenges we faced were working around everything in the basement. Mr. Dobson contacted us because he has an old Chestnut Hill home with crumbling walls and a few puddles after heavy rains that we fixed.

The challenges we faced were that it was a really nice finished basement, so we had to be extra clean.

After our waterproofing specialist Steve Custus went out to inspect the issues, he recommended replacing the other waterproofing company’s drainage system with our patented GrateDrain drainage system, which can handle large amounts of groundwater efficiently. We also installed a new Grate Sump pump with a built-in pump stand and an airtight sump lid. Now that the groundwater problem has been taken care of, the homeowners have peace of mind.

This was a tough job because we had to do all the waterproofing from the exterior. Another challenge we faced was that a concrete slab was in the way, so it had to be removed and put back by us in order to complete the installation. To address this, we installed a below-grade dampproofing solution with tar and membrane on the outside of the foundation wall.

To address this, we installed a Santa-Fe Advance 2 system and painted the walls.
