It was a unique situation because we went to meet the buyer’s realtor at the home, and the homeowners were there as well. Although they said it does not get water, signs all around the basement showed water seepage. After we removed the finished walls, we found that the whole bottom floor plate was rotted out.

To address this, we provided a full drainage system with a sump pump and outside drainage.

Foremen : Derek Price and crew installed a partial perimeter (Closed) drainage system with full vapor barrier on the three of the outside exterior ways . The vapor barrier will drain all wall leaks down into the GrateDrain system that will than drain the water to the GrateSumps . Project manager Ed recommended two GrateSumps for maximum protection.. Now that the Basement is free from ground water seepage. The homeowners have their basement back . Thanks to Jamison Basement Waterproofing

When record-breaking rain fall this summer ! To help keep Sabu basement dry all the time, our project manager Steve Custus installed a full perimeter (Closed drainage) system along the inside perimeter of the basement, He also installed a two new Grate Sump kits with battery back and 2 inch discharge line to handle any amount of rain. When one pump fails or can't keep up, another pump kicks in to help out. To protect the basement from future wall leaks we installed a full moisture vapor barrier on the walls as well , Outside, our crew installed an freeze stops to prevent floods from a frozen discharge linen! With plans to finish the basement in the near future Sabu didn’t want to take any chances ! Now he can finally say he has a Dry Basement

Homeowners Come up with the best ideas to keep water from filling up his window well

The challenges we faced were keeping the newly finished basement clean while doing the waterproofing work.

To address this, we installed a window well drain that ties into the existing sump pump. Then, we installed a sealed window well surround to keep water out and prevent the well from filling up. Now the homeowners can enjoy their newly finished basement.

The challenges we faced were that installing a drainage system in a really tight crawl space is always difficult.

To address this, Project Manager Steve went out to meet with the homeowners at their home in Ambler, PA, and after hearing them out, he knew exactly what would fix their problem.

So, he proposed a full closed drainage system (Grate-Drain) with inspection ports. This system will drain the water into the homeowners’ existing sump pump, which will then pump it out of the crawl space and far away from the home. We were able to solve their problem and save them some money by using their existing sump pump, which had been recently installed.

After Ed’s full inspection he recommend sealing the cracks to stop the seepage than applying a rubber membrane over the cracks to protect against expanding and contracting..
