Professional Basement Waterproofing and Crawl Space Repair in Gwynedd Valley, PA

Gwynedd Valley, PA is known for its picturesque scenery, historic character, and beautifully maintained residential properties. With mature trees, expansive landscapes, and a strong appreciation for outdoor living, the area offers a distinctive blend of natural beauty and suburban comfort. While these qualities make Gwynedd Valley an exceptional place to live, they can also create challenges when it comes to managing groundwater and protecting foundations from moisture-related issues.

At Jamison Basement Waterproofing, we help homeowners safeguard their properties from basement water intrusion and foundation deterioration. Problems such as damp basements, persistent moisture, foundation cracking, musty odors, and elevated humidity levels are often signs that water is affecting the structure below the surface. Our team conducts detailed inspections to determine the source of the issue and develops customized repair solutions designed to provide reliable, long-term protection.

Many homes in Gwynedd Valley sit on larger lots with extensive landscaping and mature vegetation. While these features add beauty and privacy, they can also influence drainage patterns around the home. During periods of heavy rainfall or seasonal groundwater fluctuations, excess moisture can accumulate near the foundation and place stress on basement walls and structural components. Over time, this can contribute to water infiltration, foundation settlement, mold growth, wood decay, and other costly problems if not addressed properly.

To help prevent and correct these issues, we offer a complete range of waterproofing and foundation repair services. Our solutions include interior drainage systems, sump pump installation, crawl space encapsulation, basement crack repair, exterior waterproofing, moisture control systems, and structural stabilization services. Every recommendation is tailored to the property's specific conditions, ensuring the most effective solution for long-term performance.

For more than 35 years, Jamison Basement Waterproofing has provided trusted waterproofing and foundation repair services throughout Montgomery County and the surrounding region. As a family-owned and operated company, we take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship, honest advice, and personalized customer care. Project manager Steve Custus went out to meet with the homeowners and to find out their future plans for the basement, after the basement inspection Steve recommended a closed drainage system ( Grate Drain ) and replacing the homeowners existing Sump pump with a new ( GrateSump ) the GrateSump can remove up to 2400 gph of water from the basement. To protect the future finish basement from wall leaks Steve recommended a fully sealed moisture vapor barrier on the walls . That will drain any wall leaks down into the drainage system . Project Manager Steve C. recommended a doorway entry drain that will drain water from the leaky bilco door area into the GrateDrain drainage system. The Grate Sump will then pump the ground water away from the home. Now the homeowners can refinish the basement without fear of the basement flooding due to ground water seepage. Project manager Steve c went out to visit with the homeowners. After listening to their goals and budget for the basement project he recommended a high quality moisture blocking coating. This not only stops moisture from entering but also gives the walls a clean look. Project Manger George, who has well over 20 years experience, went out to meet with the homeowners to do a full basement inspection. After the meeting the homeowners decided to install the Grate-Drain drainage system to relieve the hydro-static pressure from beneath the basement floor.

The challenge we faced was that it was a finished basement, so we had to remove the sheetrock and studding to get to the foundation wall.

To address this, Project Manager Steve went out to meet with the homeowner and explained the whole process from top to bottom. The homeowner was very happy with our solution over the rest. Then our senior foreman, Ken McKnight, went out to install the job, and he and his crew were quick and efficient. They installed our patent Grate Trench to protect the basement from any water coming in at the back door, which connects to our Grate-Drain system that channels the water below the slab to our very efficient Grate Sump. Now the homeowners can get the basement refinished. Problem solved.

The challenges we faced were jackhammering through a new 6-inch solid poured floor.

To address this, Basement Waterproofing Specialist Ed inspected the property and met with the homeowner. With over 15 years of training and experience, Ed explained that the basement needed a sump pump, a sub-floor drainage system to handle the amount of incoming water, and a high-volume dehumidifier to reduce the humidity.

Senior Crew Foreman Dwight Custus was on site bright and early to get this project underway. The first day involved demolition, removing about 10 inches of the solid concrete floor from around the perimeter and drilling weep holes in the block wall to relieve hydrostatic pressure. The next day, the crew returned and installed the new GrateSump and closed drainage system with fresh concrete.

Now the homeowners have a lifetime transferable warranty that their basement will be free of groundwater seepage for the life of the home.

Project Manager Steven Custus went out to give a free basement inspection, he recommended replacing the old never maintained drainage system with Grate Drain (closed) drainage system with inspection ports for easy annual inspection and maintenance. He also wanted to protect the homeowners from future wall seepage so he recommend full vapor barrier as well . Crew Foreman Dwight Custus was able to tie the radon system into the GrateDrain drainage system for maximum efficiency , and with the Grate Sump able to remove 2400 gallons of water per hour this basement will be dry all the time !

We decided to install the very effective sub-floor closed drainage system known as GrateDrain. The GrateDrain System collects the water from around and under the basement floor and channels the water to the sump pump. After the Grate Drain System is installed, the basement floor is restored. Additionally, inspection ports are placed throughout the system for easy inspection. Project Manager : Steve C Crew Foreman: Dwight C
