The challenges we faced were the structural repair work and the small crawl space to work within.

To address this, Steve proposed a full perimeter GrateDrain drainage system that offers a lifetime warranty and is transferable to the next homeowners, which was especially important as she was planning to put her house on the market soon. An airtight Grate Sump pump was installed to replace their open sump pit hole, along with a crawl space encapsulation system and structural repair to turn the crawl space into dry, usable space. By doing so, Mrs. Opalisky turned 2000 square feet into dry usable space, therefore increasing the value of her home.

Working in any finished basement is a challenge for a basement waterproofer. To address this, we provided the homeowners with a Healthy Basement 3 Certificate, which included wall removal demo, a full perimeter drainage system, two new Grate Sumps, and a partial vapor barrier on the walls.

The challenge we faced was having to get an installation crew out within a few days so the homeowners would not lose any potential buyers.

To address this, Senior Project Manager Ed went out to do a crawl space inspection and recommended installing a sub-floor drainage system to channel groundwater to the existing sump pump. As a result, the homeowners were able to offer the transferable warranty to the new home buyers, and their home flew off the market thanks to the team at Jamison Basement Waterproofing.
