Professional Basement Waterproofing and Crawl Space Repair in Darby, PA

Darby, PA is recognized for its deep historical roots, diverse neighborhoods, and convenient location just outside Philadelphia. With many older homes and long-established residential properties throughout the borough, basement moisture issues and foundation problems are common concerns for homeowners dealing with aging construction materials, shifting ground conditions, and years of seasonal weather exposure.

At Jamison Basement Waterproofing, we provide customized waterproofing and foundation repair services designed specifically for homes in Darby. Water seepage, damp basement walls, musty odors, elevated humidity levels, and settling foundations can all result from poor drainage, hydrostatic pressure, or weakened foundation structures. Our team performs detailed inspections to determine the source of the issue before installing reliable waterproofing systems built for long-term performance and protection.

Homes in Darby experience humid summer weather, freezing winter temperatures, and frequent rain and snowfall throughout the year. These changing seasonal conditions can cause the surrounding soil to expand and contract repeatedly, placing stress on basement walls and concrete floors. When moisture intrusion is not properly addressed, it can eventually lead to foundation cracks, mold and mildew growth, wood rot, structural weakening, and unhealthy indoor air conditions.

Our experienced waterproofing professionals provide a full range of services including interior drainage systems, sump pump installation, crawl space encapsulation, exterior waterproofing, structural stabilization, moisture control systems, and foundation crack repair. Every project is customized to fit the unique condition and layout of the home to help ensure dependable, long-lasting results.

For more than 35 years, Jamison Basement Waterproofing has helped homeowners throughout the region maintain dry, stable, and healthier homes. As a family-owned and operated business, we remain committed to delivering honest recommendations, skilled workmanship, and dependable customer service backed by decades of basement waterproofing and structural repair experience.

Foreman Dwight and the crew faced the challenge of pumping the water out of the crawl space before they could get started.

To address this, Project Manager Steve Custus went out to meet with the homeowners, and after reviewing the home inspection report, he knew exactly how to solve the problem quickly and efficiently.

Steve provided the homeowners with a new Grate Sump with drainage matting and a full encapsulation seal system. He also replaced the rotted wood supports with new steel supports. Since the radon fan was not working, we replaced that as well. Lastly, and most importantly, we sealed the four open vents and provided insulation by spray-foaming the rim joists with closed-cell spray foam. The challenges we faced were that we had a totally finished basement with carpet and everything, so our Senior Project Manager Steve first had to find the leak by starting with an outside water test to locate it.

Steve had seen this problem a few times before, so he knew how to approach it. After finding the leak, he recommended removing the lower portion of the wall. We then installed a new drainage system, parged the wall where the mud was washing into the basement, and tested the existing sump pump. Problem solved, and the homeowner was happy that she did not have to replace her entire existing drainage system.
