Jamison Basement Waterproofing installed a full perimeter Grate -Drain (Closed) DrInage System to protect all 142 linear feet of their basement from water intrusion. Also installed was the patented freeze stop system which will prevent their basement from flooding should the exterior pipes ever freeze up in the winter time , The homeowners were also concerned about what would happen should a hurricane or other extreme weather event happen in the area again. To ensure that the basement would never flood even during power outages, Jamison Basement Waterproofing installed 2 sump pump which has a battery Inverter for 24-hr protection . Dave the Project manager also recommended several Inspection ports so that the homeowners could move their high volume dehumidifier from location to location without ever having to empty the water and to make inspection of their system in the future very easy for future annual service. Crew Foremen : Steven Custus and crew went over and behind to wow this client.

Project Manager Steve Custus recommended we install our ultimate Sump pump system 2 Basins one with an Half horse power pump , the other a 1/3hp pump combine they can handle close to 6 gallons of water per hour . Last but not least a Battery Back up inverter that can handle 2800 gallson per hour if the power was to go off ... Now the homeowners finally has peace in mind !

The basement wall crack had an active leak for some time, so it took a little longer to stop the crack from leaking, especially because it had rained just a day before the installation.

To address this, we replaced the existing sump pump that had burned out with a new Fast Sump. We also repaired the leaking foundation wall crack. Now the homeowners can put their home on the market without the fear of losing resale value due to basement waterproofing issues.

The challenge we faced was having to start this job almost immediately because the basement waterproofing issues were holding up the new home renovations. Our project manager and production manager worked together and were able to have a full crew ready to go within 24 hours.

To address this, Steve Custus designed a full closed perimeter drainage system (Grate-Drain) with inspection ports strategically placed throughout the system for easy access and inspection. We also installed 2 Grate Sumps with 1/3 HP Fast Sumps that can remove 2400 gallons of water per hour. Additionally, we installed a full ThermalShield sealed vapor barrier on the walls to prevent any future wall leaks or dampness from reaching the basement floor, along with a high-volume, high-efficiency dehumidifier that can remove up to 90 pints of moisture a day from the basement air, creating a healthy environment for many years to come.

We totally encapsulated the entire Dirt crawlspace to reduce high levels of moisture and radon. We also installed a new Grate Sump and closed up the open vents and installed spray foam insulation in the outside cavitys of the rim joist . The challenges we faced were having to get this job done as soon as possible so the property owners would not lose any other deals due to the wet basement.

Because of the recent rain, our Project Manager and the property owner were able to see which corner of the basement the water was seeping into and come up with a quick fix to get the home back on the market. He proposed a new Grate Sump with a partial GrateDrain drainage system to guarantee that the basement stays dry in the area we treated, and the solution is transferable to the next homeowners.

Within two days, the property owner and realtor were able to get the house back listed now that the basement waterproofing issue had been solved.
