The challenge we faced was that we had to gut the entire basement because the water problem had been going on for a while, and mold was certainly growing behind the finished material, so we had to get down to the root of the problem.

To address this, Project Manager Steve provided a full GrateDrain drainage system with a full vapor barrier, along with complete encapsulation of the dirt crawl space. We even extended a downspout underground free of charge to get as much water away from the foundation as possible. The Walkers said they chose us over our competitors because we were the only company that was not pushy during the sales call. Now that the groundwater issues have been taken care of, they can refinish the space and add a new playroom for their children.

The challenge we faced was that it was a very tight crawl space, so we had to do some digging before we could install the encapsulation system.

To address this, we installed a complete encapsulation system to reduce humidity and moisture in the home coming from the crawl space. The encapsulation system completely seals off the dirt crawl space from the home. Now the damp smell above the dirt crawl space will go away, and Mike now has a healthier home.

The biggest challenge we faced was removing the finished wall to access the foundation floor-wall joint.

To address this, Project Manager George S. went out to meet with the clients and recommended installing an interior drainage system (Grate-Drain) with a new Grate Sump sump pump. The sump pump will discharge the water from below the basement slab into the sewer line.

Now the Philadelphia homeowners have a dry basement.
