Dave went out and met with the project manager of the building and together they came up with the best solution to solve their problem. We installed to Grate -Sump Sump pump kits with 1-1/2hp pumps with Battery Back ups. We all installed a full perimeter drainage system to capture any ground water seepage. We also installed 4 window well taps to prevent the deep windows from over flowing into the basement , and the last thing we installed was the santa-Fe Advance to reduce humidity and eliminate smells in the basement. Now they just added over 5,000 of dry useable space .

Project manager Steve Custus went out and sat down with the homeowners and listened to their concerns , after the meeting Steve recommended installation of a drainage system around the perimeter of the basement that would channel any ground water seepage to the new GrateSump , the Grate Sump would that pump the water out away from the foundation, all while keeping the basement dry ! The challenge we faced was that this was a solid poured concrete foundation, so it was a little tougher to cut the window opening than in our typical block foundations.

To address this, we recommended installing a code-compliant egress window before the start of finishing the basement, since the 2006 International Residential Code states that basements and every sleeping room shall have at least one emergency exit and rescue opening.
