Rossi construction was contacted by the homeowners because they wanted to add more living space to their home and what better way than a finish basement but first they would need a exit out of the basement to have their finish basement up to code . So that's when they gave us a call at Jamison Basement Waterproofing ....

Solutions provided:

The challenge we faced was that this was a solid poured concrete foundation, so it was a little tougher to cut the window opening than in our typical block foundations.

To address this, we recommended installing a code-compliant egress window before the start of finishing the basement, since the 2006 International Residential Code states that basements and every sleeping room shall have at least one emergency exit and rescue opening.
