Project Manager Steve went out and after seeing that this was a finish basement he knew that he only got one I shot to get this basement waterproofing problem solved . So after hearing the homeowners out and was told that it was an on going problem on one wall in the basement he knew exactly how to take care of it . So he proposal full vapor barrier that will drain any wall leaks down into the Grate drain drain system which would channel the water to a knew Grate Sump .. This system provides the homeowners with a life time warranty so now they are confident enough to refinish their basement !

After our project manager went out and met with Mr. Daniels he knew that Mr. Daniels just wanted a simple pump replacement so that's what we did . We replaced the very old outdated pump with a new 1/3hp cast iron pump with 3yr warranty. Now Mr Daniels can sleep at night with peace in mind now that he has a reliable pump .

Jamison basement expert Steve Custus went out to meet with the homeowners. After listening to their concerns he recommend full vapor barrier on the walls to protect the homeowners future finish basement from moisture and any future walll leaks .The vapor barrier will drain any wall leaks down into the GrateDrain (Closed) Drainage system. 9 Year veteran Crew Foremen Dwight Custus and crew took their time installing the complete closed drain system to reduce humidity and promote an healthy basement. No the homeowners have the peace in mind that their ne finish basement I’ll be free of ground water`seepage for the life of the home..

The challenges we faced were that we had a totally finished basement with carpet and everything, so our Senior Project Manager Steve first had to find the leak by starting with an outside water test to locate it.

Steve had seen this problem a few times before, so he knew how to approach it. After finding the leak, he recommended removing the lower portion of the wall. We then installed a new drainage system, parged the wall where the mud was washing into the basement, and tested the existing sump pump. Problem solved, and the homeowner was happy that she did not have to replace her entire existing drainage system.

Since it was a finished wall, it was not possible to see behind it, which made the leak harder to find. However, once the wall was cut, the leak was identified. To address the issue, we provided one wall of drainage system with a new pump replacement and a backup inverter for 24-hour protection.

Steve recommended the GrateDrain closed drainage system to take care of the ground water problem, along with the GrateSump pump which can remove up to 2400 gph of water from the basement . To solve the moisture from the walls we first clean the walls with a mold neutralizer than we applied a moisture vapor barrier to the walls , this vapor barrier will channel any future wall leaks down into the GrateDrain system . Far as the entry door wall leakage we installed a GrateTrench to capture any water leaking from under the basement door . Now the homeowner has a dry basement !
