He recommended a window well drain that would catch any water inside the window well before it reaches the window and channel the water in the grate drain drainage system below that will channel the water to the Grate Sump . Another challenge we faced was that a concrete slab was in the way, so it had to be removed and put back by us in order to complete the installation. To address this, we installed a below-grade dampproofing solution with tar and membrane on the outside of the foundation wall.

Project manager Steve recommended a closed sub floor Drainage system called GrateDrain to redirect water from under the basement floor at the floor wall joint to the new GrateSump , the GrateSump can remove up to 2400 gallons of water per hr from the Basement. The challenges we faced were that it was a very large basement, requiring around 240 feet of drainage system with a full vapor barrier and 3 sump pumps. Another challenge was that the floor in the lower basement was very hard to jackhammer in order to install the system.

To address this, we installed a full drainage system with a complete vapor barrier and 3 sump pumps.

He recommended a Grate- Sump basin with a built in pump stand , air-tight sump lid with a floor drain and because of the high water levels he recommended a higher capacity Sump pump with a dual float switch to ensure them they won't have another issue when it comes to the Sump pump.

The end result was Jamison replacing the old sump pump and pit with a new Grate Sump combo sump pump system which can remove close 6,000 gallons of water per hr from the basement. The challenges we faced were having to get this job done as soon as possible so the property owners would not lose any other deals due to the wet basement.

Because of the recent rain, our Project Manager and the property owner were able to see which corner of the basement the water was seeping into and come up with a quick fix to get the home back on the market. He proposed a new Grate Sump with a partial GrateDrain drainage system to guarantee that the basement stays dry in the area we treated, and the solution is transferable to the next homeowners.

Within two days, the property owner and realtor were able to get the house back listed now that the basement waterproofing issue had been solved.
