Project Manager Steve Custus went out to do a full basement inspection and after listening to the homeowners he recommended removal of finish material and replacement of the existing sump pump and to resolve the water seeping in from under the oil tank he recommended the Grate Drain ( Closed ) drain system that will drain ground water seepage to the new Grate sump . Now that it's been a few heavy rains with no sign of water now the homeowners can refinish the basement with peace in mind their problem is solved .

Our project Manager Steve went out to meet with the homeowners and after a short period of time he knew exactly what they wanted to accomplish , because Steve was a crew Foremen for over 10years he knew how to approach this one . So first he proposal some wall Parging than we applied full vapor with a full drainage system with a Sump pump . Than to control the humidity we installed a high efficient dehumidifier to keep the humidity below 50% so they never have to worry about smells and odors .

Project Manager Steve Custus went out to give the homeowner multiple options on egress windows . Steve educated the homeowner on why it’s less disruptive to install the egress window before the basement is finished . Steve started out by pulling permits with the local township after getting approval. The installation crew showed up at 7:30am and began installation they started by hand digging out for the well , than removal of the foundation to make the existing window large enough for a person exit in case of an emergency. After installing the new window it’s time to attach the well and backfill .. Now the homeowner can move on to phase two of the finish basement process. We installed a full perimeter drainage system with Vapor Barrier on the walls to protect the Basement from any wall leaks a new air-tight Sump pump , full Crawlspace encapsulation to protect the building from moisture from the damp crawl space. The new homeowners will receive a level 4 Heavy Basement Certificate ! Which is transferable to the next homeowners if and when they decide to sell their home .
