Why did the customer contact us?

A homeowner in Stockton, NJ contacted us with a persistent problem of water intrusion in their basement. After every heavy rain, they noticed water pooling along the foundation walls and damp conditions that led to musty odors and potential mold concerns. Our inspection revealed that the water was entering through the cove joint (where the wall meets the floor) due to high groundwater levels around the foundation.

Project manager Ryan Bond went out to meet with the clients to do a full basement inspection he conducted a full site inspection and moisture reading. The primary issue was hydrostatic pressure from the surrounding saturated soil, which caused water to seep into the basement. The walls also showed signs of moisture wicking, and the overall humidity levels were elevated …

Ryan Bond recommend we install our GrateDrain drainage system at the perimeter of the basement that will tie directly into our GrateSump sump pump system ! To help with the moisture from the basement walls we installed our ThermalShield moisture vapor barrier that will drain any wall leaks or moisture down into to the GrateDrain system ….
