One challenge we faced was that the basement was already finished, but it lacked an egress window, which is necessary for safety in case of an emergency. The installation included proper excavation, window well installation, and ensuring the window met Philadelphia’s building code standards. After the window was installed, we coordinated with the local authorities to ensure that the work was up to code and applied for the necessary building permits. Once the work was completed, the investor was able to pass the inspection with flying colors.

Within a few days, the egress window was fully installed, the building passed inspection, and the property was back on the market.
