PA code states that a finished basement must have a minimum opening of 24inches and the window sill can be no more than 44 inches from the floor for easy escape in the event of an emergency.

We provided the homeowner with a code compliant egress escape window with a well for an easy escape in the event of an emergency. The new egress window will also allow a lot more sun light into the new finished basement.
